32891 CASES OF MUTATION ARE PENDING
Despite all efforts, mutation process is going at snail’s pace in Bhojpur district. Altogether 32891 cases of mutation or 86.03 percent cases are pending till date. 23491 cases of mutation are pending for more than 21 days while 5284 cases are pending for over 64 days.

235499 applications for mutation have been filed till November 24, 2022 of which 131746 applications have been disposed of and 70862 applications have been rejected.
As per rule, mutation of land is to be completed within 21 days. All works Public Service Act including LPC, Genealogy, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Land Revenue, Mutation and other have to be done by the Circle Office. At least 185 revenue employees are available in the 226 panchayats in Bhojpur district. Lack of hands mars the working.
ADM Manoj Kumar Jha said that the department is facing hand crunch. The sanctioned posts are the same while population increased many fold. He added that departmental proceeding has been going on against corrupt revenue employees, Anil Kumar Singh, Santosh Kumar, Harendra Pratap Singh, Manoj Kumar Singh, Rakesh Kumar. He said that only 12.84% land revenue has so far been collected against the target.
The ADM Manioj Kumar Jha said that effort is being done to intensify the work process and all COs have been directed in this regard adding that action is being taken against the COs and the revenue employees for not working to achieve the target.
