New Delhi (RNI) 25 eminent personalities of the country were given "Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Smriti Samman" in a grand ceremony here.

National Commission for Women member Mrs. Mamta Kumari, Charter Accountant Rajiv Jaiswal and Founder General Secretary of Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan Institute Abhay Sinha gave this honor in a program organized late last evening on the birth anniversary of the country's first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad on behalf of All India Manav Samaj Trust at Gandhi Peace Foundation in the national capital Delhi. The program was presided over by well-known senior journalist Dr. Samrendra Pathak. The head of the organization, Hira Lal Pradhan, expressed gratitude to the visitors. Delhi Unit Chief Ranjit Singh welcomed them.

On this occasion, famous singer of Delhi Doordarshan Pt. Pushkar Mishra, Tablabadka Ustad Sabir Hasan, singer Ms. Sneha Jha and dancer Mrs. Pushpa presented cultural programmes. Famous poet Pt. Vimal Mishra and poetess Mrs. Poonam Jha Sudha and poetess Mrs. Jayanti Kumari presented their creations.
