20Yr RI TO ONE FOR OUTRAGING MODESTY OF A TEENAGE GIRL
Additional District and Session Judge VI cum special Judge Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO), Sasaram Civil Court awarded rigorous 20 years imprisonment to Sunil Kumar alias Sunil Yadav of Sonadih village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on him in connection with outraging modesty of a teenage girl.
SASARAM (RNI) Additional District and Session Judge VI cum special Judge Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO), Sasaram Civil Court awarded rigorous 20 years imprisonment to Sunil Kumar alias Sunil Yadav of Sonadih village under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on him in connection with outraging modesty of a teenage girl.
Special Public Prosecutor Janak Raj Kishori said that Sunil Kumar alias Sunil Yadav along with his two aides Kali Kumar and Bhagwan Yadav intruded the house of a teenage girl in a village under Kargahar police station in the night on August 11, 2017 when her parents had gone somewhere and the girl was all alone in her house and outraged her modesty at dagger point. When her parents returned, she narrated her ordeal and later a named FIR was lodged with the police under Kargahar police station in this regard.
Hearing both the parties, the court convicted Sunil Kumar alias Sunil Yadav and awarded 20 year rigorous imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on him while the court acquitted Kali Kumar and Bhagwan Yadav for want of adequate evidences. The court also issued an order to the District Legal Services Authority to provide Rs.2 lakh to the victim under the Victims Redressal Act.
