Buxar, 18 May 2023, (RNI): Additional District and Session Judge, Buxar Civil Court, Sandeep Singh awarded rigorous 20 years imprisonment to Bhuwar Ram and Anil Ram and also slapped a fine of Rs. 40,000 on each of them in connection with gang rape of a woman.
Public Prosecutor, Jai Ram Singh said that a married woman of Babhani village under Buxar Muffassil police station in Buxar district had gone to the field in the village to attend call of nature where two persons, Bhuwar Ram and Anil Ram of the village waylaid and took her to a secluded place where they gangraed her. They also threatened not to say about the incident to anyone otherwise her husband and the son would be killed. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Buxar Woman police station against Bhuwar Ram and Anil Ram in the year 2021 and the police submitted charge sheet in the court.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ, Buxar Civil Court awarded 20 years rigorous imprisonment to Bhuwar Ram and Anil Ram and also slapped a fine of Rs. 40,000 each of them.
