ARA---------------------------December 16 is a day of pride for each and every Indian on which day, Bangladesh was born, said Prof Balraj Thakur. He said that after seceding from India, Pakistan had come shore enemy of India. India achieved a great victory by liberating East Pakistan from West Pakistan and recognizing it as a new country in the world Bangladesh. This great victory credit goes to the visionary thinking of the former Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi and the important decision taken in the interest of the country. In this context, this day is the day proudly remember India’s great heroine Mrs. Indira Gandhi.

Senior Congress leader, Prof Balraj Thakur said these things while presiding over a seminar organized by the Lok Chetna Manch. He said that Indira Gandhi demonstrated her capacity for duty by giving a crushing defeat to Pakistan in the year 1971 and creating Bangladesh in December 16, 1971 itself. With this success, Indira Gandhi earned international fame and started being worshiped like goddess among the Indians. Prof. Thkur said that during the war, Indira Ji continued to fight the invaders by becoming Mahakali, Ranchandi. Social worker Shivdas Singh described Indira Ji as a world class leader. Remembering her with reverence Prof. Ayodhya Prasad Upadhayaya called her Iron Lady. Dr. Baban Singh conducted the meeting while Pankaj Thakur extended vote of thanks. Dr. Shashikant Tiwari. Dr. Janardan Mishra, Dharamraj Thakur, Dr. Janardan Rai, Brahmeshwar Pandey, Amitabh Thakur and Pintu Singh also spoke on the occasion.
