148 CARTONS OF IMFL SEIZED, LIQUOR SMUGGLER ARRESTED

Ara, 9 January 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested a liquor smuggler from Karnaul village under Charpokhari police station and seized 148 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). The liquor smuggler was identified as Prem Kumar son of Birendra Kumar Singh of Karnaul village. A named FIR was lodged with the police under the New Excise Act in this regard and the police sent him to jail after interrogation. 

DSP, Piro Rahul Singh said that he got information that illicit liquor was being stored in the house of Shiv Bhushan Singh at Karnaul village under Charpokhari police station. He at once with police force conducted raid in the house of Shiv Bhushan Singh and seized about 1388 liquor of IMFL packed in 148 cartons. The police also arrested a liquor smuggler Prem Kumar and sent him to jail.
