Ara (RNI) Floral tributes were paid to the Neta Jee Subhash Chandra Bose on his 129th birth anniversary. Bhojpur DM, Tanay Sultaniya, SP Mister Raj, SDO, DEO, DDC, ADM and other officers, teachers, professors, social workers, political leaders and other garlanded the statue of Neta Jee Subhash Chandra Bose. The day was observed as “Prakram Diwas”.

Remembering fearless legacy of Neta Jee Subhash Chandra Bose, a visionary leader and patriot, the leaders recalled works and deed of Neta Jee and gave a clarion call to follow his foot step to maintain unity and integrity of motherland. They said that he was an Indian Nationalist whose defiance of British authority in India made him a hero among many Indians but his wartime alliance with Nazi Germany and Fascist Japan left a legacy vexed by authoritarianism, anti-Semitism and military failure. The honorific Neta Jee was first applied to Subhash Chandra Bose in Germany in early 1942 by the India soldiers of the Indische Legion and by the German and Indian officials in the Special Bureau for India in Berlin and it is now used throughout India. After getting an Anglo-centric education, he went to England to take Indian Civil Service Examination successfully but demurred at taking the routine final exam, citing nationalist movement to be the higher calling. Returning to India in 1921, he joined the nationalist movement led by Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian National Congress. He followed Jawahar Lal Nehru.
