125 SEEDLINGS WERE PLANTED

Ara, 30 June 2023, (RNI): Under the series of World Environment Programme, the World Youth Centre, New Delhi and Antyoday Chetana Mandal jointly organized a seminar and plantation programme on the campus of Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Ram Krishna Nagar, Bampali today. Former BJP MLA cum Spokesperson Sanjay Singh Tiger, executive member, BJP Kaushan Kumar Vidyarthi, Principal of the school, Ravi Kant Rai and a retired teacher Kali Mohan Singh jointly inaugurated the programme by lighting candle. The guests and students of the school planted 125 seedlings of different varieties and the children took responsibility to protect trees by forming teams of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Diksha, Divya, Niharika, Riya, Gargi and Anamika Singh sang welcome note while Mukul Singh extended vote of thanks.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Singh Tiger said that the world is facing problem of global warming and environmental imbalance owing to attachment of material resources of the developed countries causing danger to the existence of living beings. He added that air, water and soil are being polluted due to burning of plastic and throwing it into the river and we should save environment if we wished to live healthy.

Kaushal Kumar Vidyarthi said that people were aware of environment earlier and conserve water and added that we should have to live with nature for the protection of life.

Kali Mohan Singh advised to follow three ‘mantras’ and said to save water, remove plastic and plant trees more and more.

Ram Nath Thakur, secretary, Antyoday Chetana Mandal said that our culture and civilization have an important contribution and water, trees and mountains were worshipped in which religion and science were coordinated.
