-At least 144 sheep were crushed to death under the wheel of a speeding train and a shepherd was injured near the railway crossing to the west of Tudiganj railway station under Danapru rail division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur.

BUXAR-------------------------At least 144 sheep were crushed to death under the wheel of a speeding train and a shepherd was injured near the railway crossing to the west of Tudiganj railway station under Danapru rail division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur. RPF Inspector Deepak Kumar along with other police officers rushed to the spot and with the help of locals removed lacerated bodies of the sheep from the rail track and restored the movement of trains. The police admitted the injured shepherd Gauri Pal of Dinara village to the hospital.
RPF Inspector Deepak Kumar said that Gauri Pal of Belawn village under Sikraul police station in Buxar district and Bhola Pal of Dharkhana village under Dinara police station in Rohtas district had set out for Maliabagh in Rohtas district via road from Jawahi Diayar of Chakki village along with 200 sheep. When the sheep were crossing the rail track near Tudiganj railway station under Krishnagarh police station under Danapur rail division of ECR, Hajipur, Bikaner-Guwahati Express train crushed them under the wheel in which at least 144 sheep were killed. A shepherd, in his bid to save the sheep, was also injured. The Bikaner-Guwahati Expressed immediately halted as bodies of some sheep stuck in the engine of the train. Later the driver of the train took out the bodies of the sheep from the engine and the train could proceed to its destination.
