10 YEARS RI TO THREE FOR MURDER

Additional District and Session Judge (ADJ) IV, Buxar Civil Court, Bijendra Kumar awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment to three persons and also slapped a fine of Rs. 2 lakh on each of them while acquitted two women in connection with murder of a person.

Buxar, 2 April 2023, (RNI): Additional District and Session Judge (ADJ) IV, Buxar Civil Court, Bijendra Kumar awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment to three persons and also slapped a fine of Rs. 2 lakh on each of them while acquitted two women in connection with murder of a person.

APP Triloki Mohan said that three miscreants intruded the house of a sweetmeat shop owner Om Babu at Munim Chowk under Buxar town police station in Buxar district on March 14, 2021 when he was talking with his wife Pushpa Gupta and attacked him with a hammer and killed him on spot. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Buxar town police station against five persons including two women Som Nath Arya, Gyanendra alias Babu Sahab, Jitesh Kumar, Chandani Devi and Priyanka Devi on the statement of Pushpa Gupta wife of the deceased.

After hearing both the parties, the ADJ IV convicted three persons Som Nath Arya, Gyanendra alias Babu Sahab, Jitesh Kumar and acquitted two women Chandani Devi and Priyanka Devi. The court awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment to three persons and also slapped a fine of Rs. 2 lakh on each of them. The court ordered one more year imprisonment in case of non-payment of fine.
